About Jaden

As a senior in high school, Jaden's interests lie in the realms of mathematics and science. Jaden is particularly fascinated by the fields of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, especially in the context of human-computer interaction. To that end, Jaden has done research into the intricacies of these interactions, writing a paper on Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) in text generation and presenting an ML-driven recreation of the famous Prisoner's Dilemma tournament at the Asilomar microcomputer workshop. Jaden has also studied the robotics side of the field and has served as the school's robotics team captain for the past 3 years.

While still a high schooler, Jaden has taken it upon themselves to grow their knowledge with a variety of supplemental classes, completing CS50 at Harvard and currently working on a variety of classes (Linear Algebra, Data Structures and Algorithms, Intro to AI, Intro to Quantum Computing) across several universities including Johns Hopkins and Berkeley. Beyond these technical interests, Jaden also has a passion for reading and writing and has recently posted a 600-page novel to one of their favorite online reading sites, Royal Road. Additionally, Jaden has published one of their short stories, The Ministry of Thought, in the magazine Infinity Wanderers.

Jaden is currently working on developing their ML skills through an internship with Lila Biologics, where they are using machine learning models to tackle complex protein design challenges in oncology.

Computer Science Projects

Prisoner's Dilemma Tournament

Recreated the famous Prisoner's Dilemma tournament with deep learning models in order to evaluate the strategic abilities of large language models. The findings were presented at the Asilomar microcomputer workshop, and the paper is published in the National High School Journal of Science (NHSJS).

Open Paper

Generative Adversarial Networks in Text Generation

Worked with the Polygence program to experiment with the use of Generative Adversarial Networks in text generation. Culminated in writing a literature review about the leading models in the field and suggestions moving forward. The paper is published in the National High School Journal of Science (NHSJS).

Open Paper

Computational Protein Design at Lila Biologics

Utilized advanced models, such as Alphafold2, ProteinMPNN, and RFdiffuison to design custom binders to a immune checkpoint inhibitor, a mini binder designed to treat cancerous tumors by flagging the immune system to their location.

Retrival Augmented Generation with Farsight AI

Created a Retrial Augmented Generation (RAG) application utilizing LLMs and vector databases to extract data from pdf to create a customizable AI assistant. Using python flask created a dynamic website capable of ingesting pdfs and creating instances of customized agents while maintaining data privacy

Github Repo

QR Chase

Created a Node.js Progressive Web App (PWA) for live-time multiplayer socially distanced tag. The PWA allows users to scan a QR code and tag their friends. It utilizes libraries such as express, socket.io and databases such as MongoDB.

Github Repo

First Tech Challange Organization Progressive Web App

Designed and developed a progressive web application for the first tech challenge organization.

Github Repo

r/place Collaborative Canvas

Developed a clone of Reddit's famous r/place. It features a 75 x 125 grid where users can place blocks. The grid's state is stored using PostgreSQL, ensuring that block placements are saved and can be reloaded. The server operates in real-time, meaning new blocks are uploaded and displayed without the need for refreshing the page.

Github Repo

Wiki Race

Designed and developed a Python Flask web application that utilizes double-ended Breadth-First Search (BFS) and the Wikipedia API to find the shortest path between two Wikipedia pages. The application allows users to enter a starting and target Wikipedia page, and it returns the sequence of pages (links) that form the shortest path between them.

Github Repo

Customizable-Background

Designed and developed a Google Chrome extension that allows users to upload custom photos as backgrounds for their new tab page. Each time the user opens a new tab, one of their uploaded photos is randomly selected and displayed as the background. it also includes features like mini games and recent history.
